No Flowers ....

Kia Ora

This is my second post of the day, because I can ...

I might even be a clever girl today because 2 of the host challenge blogs I join have no flowers as their theme of the week.. woo hoo ... this will be a first for me. I would like to enter the following card int the ABC42 Challenge and the Lili's Little Fairies Challenge ... No Flowers.

Here is my card...

So as you can see no flowers, I kept this simple because I have to post it off today so it can get to my Niece for her 1st Birthday on Tuesday. Her name is Jorja.. (pretty isn't it). The image is LOTV Up in the Air.. the oh my stars is an I don't know and the diecuts are from a Deja View stack. I have used my water color pencils on the stamped image and the sky. Not much else to say apart from  (although you can't see it on the photograph) I used a glitter pen on his paws and the stars  and glossy accents on his nose and the patches on the balloons. I love this image because he is so quick to color.

Thanks for looking

The Winters Night... Bows.

Kia Ora...

I went for a longer run today .... that is all.. lols.

I would like to enter this card ....

Into the Totally Gorjuss Challenge 198 - Bows basically it's put a bow on it..
I have used purple card stock from my stash the background paper was a scrap left over from making a mini album so I have no idea what it is. The sentiment is a TGF stamp the main image is The Winters Night, totally Gorjuss. The ribbon and snowflake are again a stash item origin forgotten long ago.
I have been playing with my water color pencils again and the image is watercolored and I painted the background hills in. Oh wait yes..... flat back pearls I copic colored those to give them a purpley tinge.

MFTWSC138, Blooming Good Day

Kia Ora

From a relatively empty marina, we had a lot of boats leave this weekend. It must be getting towards the end of the summer holidays I should think. Who knows what's happening I surely don't.

I thought I would enter a card sketch challenge to try and sharpen up my craft somewhat so i'd like to enter the following card into MFT's Wednesday Stamp Club Challenge using Sketch 138. So straight into the card....

Ok so here is what I have used.. MFT, Pure Innocence Blooming good day, fishtail flags, lacy doily border, Copics, Spellbinders circle dies memento inks and Doodlebug Design paper pad flower box. Blue and purple card stock from my stash. I think that's about it for today.

It's all about the boys.. apparently so.

Kia Ora

I made it back to the boat from my run just before the rains came down, it's a good job I wasn't prevaricating today otherwise I'd have been soaked lols.

Todays card is going to be for my Nephew who celebrates his birthday on Christmas Day along with his twin sister, they are both as cute as buttons and much loved by the family. The light wasn't very good when I took the photo today but hey you can't have everything or so my Mum always says.

I"m entering the following into LLFs Challenge It's All About the Boys.

The stamp is LOTV By The River, I didn't use the whole stamp this time, I cut out the log sail boat. The DP is Deja Views little ones by Sharon Ann. I stamped the image using memento tuxedo black ink and I colored in the boy with copics and used spellbinders dies to cut out the image. The card is kraft card stock. I think that's about it..

ABC41, Lots of layers.

Kia Ora

From a sun drenched Cherbourg (doesn't happen often).

I'd like to enter todays card into the ABC41 Lots of layers Challenge. I have used a Wee Fairy Stamp. I love this gal she is so pretty. I have to say that I used a tutorial by Suzanne Dean for her wing coloring and very pretty it is too. I have done this card in the shabby/vintage style I had so much fun with the other day and as I've said before I need to expand my sentiments range of stamps because they're pretty woeful at the moment ..lols. So here is my card...

I think there are seven layers here, I'm not quite sure how to count the layers...

I've used copics, MFT and sizzix dies, the DP is desert blooms by first edition papers. I've used ranger distress ink frayed burlap and memento rich cocoa. The rest of the flowers etc are from my stash which is pretty low. Yesterday I went to a local haberdashers and purchased some more lace. I'm hoping that a local market is in town tomorrow because I shall be mooching and looking for some more finds to go on my cards... Shabby/vintage has entered my crafting space... lols.

P.S... when I've tidied up some, I'll post some photos of my crafting space just in case you're wondering what it looks like on a 36 foot sailing yacht.

MFTWSC137 Snow Angel

Kia Ora

From the good ship Koru ... ;)

I thought that I might start entering the Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge over at the MFT blog. I have a couple of MFT stamps so why not....

I'd like to enter the following card into MFTWSC137 Challenge.

The MFT stamp I've used is called Snow Angel and the BRR sentiment is also from that set. For the rest I have used spell binders dies, a cuttlebug embossing folder and a TGF merry sentiment, the DP is by my minds eye, darling dear, the card stock is a Kraft card stock and the glittery ribbon is from my stash and I copic colored and paper pieced my snow angel bear.

Thanks for looking in.

Vintage/Shabby Chic

Kia Ora..

From the marina at Cherbourg on a day that doesn't know what it wants to do, happy or sad. It's been a sun shiny rainy day so far. I've left a little bit of the boat showing in the back ground , I usually take my photos on the companionway steps but I thought I'd move the card out into the cockpit to take todays photo, they say a change is as good as a rest lols.

I'd like to enter todays card into Lili's Little Fairies Vintage/Shabby Chic Challenge I admit I'm having a bit of a love affair with LOTV stamps at the moment, my bad, shhh don't tell the Scrubby.

I've never really sat down and thought what is vintage or shabby chic even but this is what I came up with..

The stamp is LOTV ..looking glass. I've used a paper I got in one of the local shops here and I think the brand is stamparia  but I couldn't see what the paper was called. I used a charm, lace, flat back pearls, ribbon and flowers that I've had in my stash for about a year now and I've almost run out, I'm not sure what I'll do about that yet. I would normally copic color the image but I didn't, I paper pieced her on a cream card stock and then just distressed her around the edges with ranger's vintage photo. I did however use C1 to put in some shadow around her wig and underneath her arm. I distressed the DP and did some faux stitching with a white gel pen.

The tag is cut out from the other side of the DP and the paper the image is mounted on is a tissue paper from the same company I mentioned before, I fussy cut it and then mounted it on card stock so I could raise it enough to go over the lace and ribbon.

Oh yes and I used Kraft card stock for the card base. I think that about covers it except for the fact that I've realised I really don't have many sentiment stamps I can use on cards, this is a situation that I intend to rectify real soon, maybe as soon as next month.... maybe..... if I can sneak them past the Scrubby .. know what I mean crafty gals ;)

We have a grey overcast and windy day in Cherbourg today :( luckily I managed to photograph todays card with what little light we had this morning.

I'd like to enter today's card into ABC's Challenge ABC39-monochromatic and I chose the colour blue for a frosty Christmas themed card using the Snow Family from LOTV. The sentiment is from TGF and the dies are MFT and spellbinders.

Gettin Wiggy With It

Kia Ora,

Ha ha, spell check did not like the title to this blog never mind because I do. I had a lot of fun with this challenge thanks TGF. So I'd like to enter this card into TGF, FFF challenge Gettin Wiggy With It.  It's party time and we need some color on that hair but no "brunette, blonde or redhead!"

So I decided on purple and blue.

I know I went over board with the purple and blue theme, but I did kind of enjoy it so much I got rather carried away lols.
Anyway the main stamp is Saturday and I copic colored him lols. For the background I used the shapes from the Dreamy Kit stamped in memento inks a blue and a purple and grey. Here is a close up.

Holy Light

Kia Ora from a blustery day at Cherbourg Marina.

Without further ado (because I have the dinner cooking) I'd like to enter the following card into the LOTVs monthly challenge Make it Festive . I have used the new gorgeous Holy Light stamp. It's a joy to color in and is yet another winner in my view from LOTV.

So I colored the image with my copics but I stamped her with memento rich cocoa, I usually use memento tuxedo black, but I wanted a softer look this time so used the brown for a change. Here is a close up.
